The Maharashtra government, on August 19, signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with companies across sectors, amounting to ₹42,893 crore, as per news reports. The agreements cover data centres, solar energy, real estate, steel, and industrial equipment.
As per reports, these projects are expected to create 28,558 jobs in the state. The investments were finalised through 8 MoUs and 2 strategic agreements.
As per the reports, Jupiter International Ltd will invest ₹10,900 crore in solar panel manufacturing, with 8,308 jobs expected. Prestige Estate Projects Ltd has committed ₹12,500 crore in data centres, logistics, and real estate, projected to add 8,700 jobs.
Rochak Systems Pvt Ltd will set up a data centre with an investment of ₹2,508 crore, creating 1,000 jobs. Rovison Tech Hub Pvt Ltd signed an MoU for a ₹2,564 crore data centre project, which is expected to employ 1,100 people.
Wow Iron & Steel Pvt Ltd will invest ₹4,300 crore in the steel sector, with an estimated 1,500 jobs. Webmint Digital Pvt Ltd has committed ₹4,846 crore for a data centre project, likely to generate 2,050 jobs. Atlas Copco will invest ₹575 crore in industrial equipment, creating 3,400 jobs. LNK Green Energy has signed an MoU worth ₹4,700 crore in the green energy sector, with 2,500 jobs planned.
As per reports, a strategic agreement was signed with the Global India Business Corridor to attract investments from the UK and Europe. Another MoU was signed with TUTRR Hyperloop Pvt Ltd for advanced transport systems at JNPT and Vadhavan Ports.

The MoUs, together worth nearly ₹43,000 crore, mark large-scale commitments in Maharashtra. The projects are projected to generate more than 28,000 jobs across multiple industries.
