Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the campaign on May 19, 2026, at the state secretariat in Mumbai. The launch event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Ajit Pawar.
The ‘Kasa Kay?’ campaign is designed to promote preventive healthcare practices across rural Maharashtra through targeted awareness efforts. It focuses on key areas such as sanitation, nutrition, access to clean drinking water, and disease prevention measures.
The programme aims to encourage behavioural changes among rural populations to improve overall health outcomes. By addressing multiple health determinants, the initiative seeks to reduce the incidence of preventable diseases and enhance quality of life.
The campaign is part of the larger ‘Majhe Gaav, Arogya Sampanna Gaav’ initiative, which aims to create healthier village ecosystems. Under this programme, villages demonstrating strong performance across various health indicators will receive recognition.
These villages will be awarded the status of “Arogya Sampanna Gaav” based on predefined benchmarks. This recognition system is intended to encourage community participation and accountability in achieving health goals.
The campaign was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai, alongside senior state leaders. During the event, the government unveiled several communication tools designed to support awareness efforts.
These included an official health song, a promotional video, and an informational booklet related to the campaign. Such materials are expected to play a role in disseminating key messages effectively across rural communities.
