Indian startups raised nearly $383.5 million this week, compared with about $82.2 million raised by 17 startups in the previous week, as per an Entrackr news report. The funding came through growth-stage, early-stage, and one undisclosed deal. 

The weekly funding total was 4.7 times higher than the previous week. Over the last eight weeks, Indian startups have raised an average of around $316 million a week, with about 21 deals recorded each week. 

Growth-Stage Funding Led by River Mobility and Sarvam 

Growth-stage startups raised nearly $273.7 million across six deals. River Mobility raised $120 million in a Series C round from Elev8 and Claypond Capital, making it the largest funding round of the week. 

Sarvam raised $74 million in an extension of its Series B round led by NVIDIA Corporation. Leap India raised ₹371.3 crore through a pre-IPO placement from Gamnat Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of GIC. 

BlissClub raised ₹160 crore in Series B funding from Singularity AMC. Matel Motion & Energy Solutions raised ₹130 crore from UC Impower, while Mintoak received ₹80 crore in acquisition financing from BlackSoil. 

Early-Stage Startup Funding Crosses $100 Million 

Early-stage startups raised $109.8 million across 19 deals. InRisk Labs raised $27 million in Series A funding, co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Northpoint Capital. 

HomeRun raised $12 million in a Series A round led by Nexus Venture Partners. Mitti Labs raised $9.5 million and Pinegap raised $8 million. Vaaree, GetVantage, Kaapi Machines, Solinas Integrity and Benne were among the other startups that raised funds. 

Bengaluru Accounts for Most Startup Deals 

As per the report, Bengaluru recorded 16 startup funding deals during the week, followed by Pune and Delhi-NCR with four deals each. Mumbai and Chennai also recorded transactions. 

AI startups accounted for six deals, while fintech and deeptech recorded four each. Seed funding was the most common round with 11 deals, followed by eight Series A rounds. 

Indian Startup Acquisitions and Fund Launches 

Imarticus Learning acquired Singapore-based BELLS Institute of Higher Learning, while Mintoak acquired ICC Loyalty. Times Network acquired fintech startup OpiGo for an undisclosed amount. 

Lighthouse Canton closed a ₹105 crore private credit investment in Emerald Leisures. Piper Serica announced the first close of its ₹800 crore Bharat Tech Fund at ₹300 crore.

Conclusion  

Startup funding in India increased to nearly $383.5 million this week from $82.2 million in the previous week. Growth-stage deals accounted for most of the capital raised.
