Williams %R
Let us delve into one of the most useful tools in technical analysis, William's Percent R. Developed by renowned trader Larry Williams, this indicator helps identify overbought and oversold conditions by comparing today's price with past prices. Similar to the Relative Strength Index, it is expressed as a percentage and ranges from 100% to zero. What sets William's Percent R apart is its remarkable ability to predict price extremes, often signaling a reversal days before it actually occurs. Keep in mind, however, that its chart is read upside down, with peaks representing lows on the %R scale. Oversold conditions are indicated in the 80-100 range, while overbought conditions lie in the 0-20 range.
