Last Sale Price

When discussing securities, it is important to understand the concept of Market On Close (MOC) eligibility. This refers to securities that are eligible to be included in the calculated closing price, where the last sale price is equal to the calculated closing price. However, if the MOC closing price acceptance parameters are exceeded, the last sale price will be equal to the last board lot sale price of the security during the regular trading session on the exchange. This differs for listed securities that do not fall under the MOC eligibility, where the last sale price will simply be the last board lot sale price during the regular trading session on the exchange.
