After a massive recovery in the April series, wherein Nifty retraced nearly 61.8% of the entire decline witnessed following the US–Iran war tensions, the May series turned out to be a phase of consolidation for the markets. Throughout the month, prices largely remained confined within a broad range with no major traction visible on either side. The benchmark index witnessed choppy movement during the series and eventually concluded with a minor cut of around 0.37%.
