Zelio E-Mobility Share Price Hits 5% Upper Circuit on Opening New Manufacturing Plant in Coimbatore

Zelio E-Mobility Limited has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in South India, as per the exchange filings.
The new plant expands the company's production network and increases its installed manufacturing capacity by 33%, while improving regional supply chain efficiency and delivery timelines.
New Plant Commences Operations
The newly commissioned facility is located at Kannampalayam, Coimbatore, and commenced operations on July 13, 2026.
Spread across approximately 39,000 sq. ft., the plant will undertake electric scooter assembly, storage, logistics and allied operations, catering to markets across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and South Maharashtra.
Capacity Rises to 2.4 Lakh Units
The Coimbatore facility has an installed production and assembly capacity of 60,000 electric two-wheelers per annum.
With the commissioning of the new plant, Zelio E-Mobility's total installed manufacturing capacity has increased from 1.8 lakh units to 2.4 lakh units annually.
During the initial phase, the company expects to produce around 24,000-30,000 electric two-wheelers each year before gradually ramping up production.
Supports Southern Expansion Strategy
The company expects the new facility to strengthen dealer penetration, improve after-sales service and enhance supply chain efficiency across southern India over the next 12-24 months.
The expansion is also expected to contribute to higher revenues, profitability, and market share in the region as demand for electric vehicles continues to grow.
Addition of Workforce and Expanding Dealer Network
The Coimbatore plant currently employs 30 workers and is expected to add more than 100 personnel in the coming months.
Zelio E-Mobility currently operates a network of 400+ dealerships across 25+ states and plans to expand this to 550+ dealerships by FY27.

As of 13 July 2026, at 2:17 PM, Zelio E-Mobility share price was locked at a 5% upper circuit limit of ₹635.35 per share.
