
BCL Industries Limited has completed the commissioning of a 150 KLPD grain-based ethanol expansion at its Bathinda facility in Punjab. This development increases the plant's total operational capacity to 550 KLPD, as per the exchange filing on July 13, 2026.
The newly commissioned brownfield project at the Bathinda unit enhances BCL Industries' presence in the domestic alternative energy sector.
As per the exchange filings, Managing Director, Mr Rajinder Mittal, said: “We are extremely delighted to announce the commissioning of our brownfield expansion at Bathinda.
This expansion has further re-enforced the leading position of BCL as one of the largest grain-based distilleries in India. We are committed and proud to be a part of promoting the government’s initiatives on Bio-Fuels in India.”
The Bathinda unit's expansion involves a 150 KLPD increase in ethanol production capacity, bringing the total to 550 KLPD.
