Wipro Limited and Factory announced a strategic partnership on January 28, 2026, to integrate Factory’s agent‑native development platform into Wipro’s WEGA delivery system, enhancing the company’s AI‑powered service suite.
Factory’s platform allows engineering teams to delegate coding tasks to AI agents, known as Droids, across the development lifecycle.
By embedding these Droids into WEGA, Wipro aims to automate feature development, refactoring, migration and testing while maintaining existing architectural standards. The rollout targets roughly 10,000 engineers worldwide, enabling faster production‑ready code generation.
Wipro will offer Factory‑enabled solutions to clients in banking, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and technology. The collaboration is expected to shorten innovation cycles, improve code quality and deliver greater value across these sectors.
Wipro’s WEGA platform, part of the Wipro Intelligence suite, will serve as the delivery backbone for the AI‑driven capabilities.
Wipro Ventures, the corporate investment arm managing assets of over $500 million, participated in Factory’s recent funding round. Factory, founded in 2023 and headquartered in San Francisco, is backed by investors such as Sequoia Capital, NEA, NVIDIA and J.P. Morgan. The investment underscores Wipro’s commitment to enterprise‑grade AI platforms.

Wipro employs 2,30,000 staff and operates in 65 countries, delivering AI‑powered consulting and technology services. Factory’s agent‑native approach shifts developers from autocomplete to delegation, allowing engineers to focus on high‑level design while Droids handle code implementation.
As of January 29, 2026, at 9:17 AM, Wipro share price on NSE was trading at ₹236.95 down by 0.17% from the previous closing price.
The partnership combines Wipro’s extensive enterprise relationships with Factory’s AI‑native development technology, creating a framework for accelerated software delivery across multiple industries.
