Wipro’s latest annual report reveals a significant difference in the remunerations of its CEO and Chairman, with CEO Srinivas Pallia earning almost 7 times more than Chairman Rishad Premji.
In FY26, CEO Srinivas Pallia received a total remuneration of ₹49.6 crore, a decline from the ₹53.6 crore he earned in the previous year.
The decrease was attributed to a reduction in performance-linked compensation, which fell to ₹9.9 crore from ₹14.5 crore last year.
His salary and allowances, however, increased to ₹15.5 crore from ₹14.6 crore, while his other compensations were around ₹23.3 crore.
Chairman Rishad Premji’s total earnings for FY26 were reported at ₹7.3 crore, down from the previous year's ₹13.8 crore.
This was due to a drop in commission and variable pay, which fell to ₹2.2 crore from ₹7 crore. His salary and allowances amounted to ₹6.3 crore, along with other compensations of ₹0.03 crore.

According to the annual report, both Pallia and Premji are entitled to a commission of 0.35% of the increase in Wipro’s consolidated net profit over the previous fiscal year.
The differential in their earnings highlights significant variances in compensation structures within Wipro’s leadership.
Wipro is navigating a slowdown in discretionary technology spending amid macroeconomic uncertainty in key markets like the US and Europe.
As seen in other Indian IT firms, there's a trend to link senior management remuneration more closely with performance metrics related to growth, margins, and shareholder returns.
As of June 03, 2026, at 11:02 AM, Wipro share price on NSE was trading at ₹206.79 down by 1.45% from the previous closing price.
The annual report highlights the pay disparity at Wipro, with CEO Srinivas Pallia's earnings significantly outpacing those of Chairman Rishad Premji. This reflects broader trends in executive compensation within the IT sector.
