
On July 27, 2026, Wipro Limited announced a global partnership with Databricks aimed at modernising data foundations and deploying artificial intelligence (AI) at scale, as per the exchange filings.
As part of this collaboration, Wipro has established a dedicated Databricks business practice to deliver industry-specific solutions and accelerators.
The partnership integrates Databricks' capabilities in agentic AI, data modernisation, and analytics with the Wipro Intelligence™ suite of AI-powered platforms.
This includes the use of Databricks Genie, an AI coworker that answers data queries via natural language, and WEGA, Wipro’s agent-native delivery platform, to transition legacy systems into AI-ready data architectures.
The new business unit builds on a history of delivering over 300 data and agentic AI use cases across sectors such as banking, financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing, and energy.
Databricks has recognised Wipro as its 2025 Banking Partner of the Year and 2026 Innovation Partner of the Year.
The business practice is designing solutions to address complex industry-specific operational issues. Applications include portfolio performance optimisation in banking, planning resiliency for global supply chains, and sales transformations for telecom companies.
Additionally, an AI-led CFO transformation strategy is introduced to optimise corporate financial planning and analysis processes.
