ACME Solar Holdings share price and NTPC Green Energy share price rose sharply on March 19, even as the broader market remained under pressure.

  • ACME Solar gained around 4-9%
  • NTPC Green Energy rose by 2-4%

In comparison, the BSE Sensex was down over 2%, highlighting strong outperformance.

ACME Solar Gains on Project Expansion

ACME Solar share price extended gains for the 3rd straight session.

The rally came after the company announced that its subsidiary had commissioned an additional 8 MW capacity in its 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat.

With this, the total operational capacity at the project has increased to 84 MW.

NTPC Green Energy Rises on Solar Project Update

NTPC Green Energy shares also gained for the 2nd consecutive session.

The company announced the start of commercial operations for 165 MW capacity at its Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat. This is part of a larger 1,200 MW project, and the company continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio.

Renewable energy stocks are benefiting from broader sector trends.
