Welspun Enterprises Share Price in Focus; Wins ₹351 Crore Sewer Orders in Ahmedabad

Welspun Enterprises informed the exchanges on September 20 that its subsidiary, Welspun Michigan Engineers Limited (WMEL), had received two Letters of Award from Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The orders are for work on existing sewer lines in western and eastern Ahmedabad.  

The two projects are funded by the World Bank. The work will take place across several parts of the city and is scheduled to be completed within 24 months from the start date.   

₹229 Crore Order for Western Ahmedabad 

The bigger of the two orders is worth ₹229.48 crore. It covers the main trunk sewer line from Gota Lake to the 285 MLD TSPS, including the stretch between Iskcon Char Rasta and the 285 MLD TSPS.  

The second order is worth ₹121.76 crore and covers sewer lines in eastern Ahmedabad. The work includes the Odhav 310 to Panjrapole Char Rasta to Nirant Cross Road to Mahadev Imperial stretch, along with the section from Metro Pillar No. 99 to Nirant Char Rasta.  

Together, the two contracts are worth ₹351.24 crore, including GST and excluding the provisional sum.  

Order Book Reaches ₹2,432.66 Crore 

The new orders have been added to WMEL's order book. As of June 2026, it stood at around ₹2,135 crore. After these orders, it has gone up to around ₹2,432.66 crore. The increase is about ₹297.66 crore after excluding GST and the provisional sum.  

Welspun Enterprises said the western Ahmedabad project is one of the largest rehabilitation orders WMEL has won through its own bidding capacity.  

Projects to be Completed in 24 Months 

Both projects will be completed within 24 months from the commencement date. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is the organisation that awarded the contracts.   

The company has also stated that its promoter group and group companies have no interest in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The orders are not related-party transactions.

As of 18 September 2026, Welspun Enterprises Ltd share price closed at ₹820 per share, reflecting a surge of 5.30% from the previous trading session.
