TCS Unveils Dedicated Business Unit for AI-Native Global Capability Centres

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the launch of its Global Value & Innovation Centres (GVIC) Business Unit, aimed at helping enterprises build AI-native Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
The initiative is designed to support organisations in establishing new GCCs and transforming existing centres into value-driven and innovation-focused operations.

The newly launched TCS GVIC Business Unit will combine the company's GCC expertise, AI-led transformation capabilities, and end-to-end lifecycle services.
According to TCS, the offering is designed to help enterprises move seamlessly from strategy and setup to scaled operations and AI-driven transformation.
Soumen Roy Appointed to Lead New Unit
TCS has appointed Soumen Roy as the Head of the TCS GVIC Business Unit.
Roy brings nearly three decades of experience and most recently served as the Country Head for TCS Canada. He will report directly to TCS CEO and Managing Director K Krithivasan.
Focus On Building AI-Native GCCs
The company stated that GCCs are increasingly evolving from traditional delivery hubs into strategic enterprise assets that drive innovation, manage platforms, and deliver business outcomes.
Through the new business unit, TCS aims to offer AI-ready data and cloud foundations, enterprise platforms, talent models, co-innovation ecosystems, and responsible AI frameworks to support clients' transformation journeys.
TCS Strengthens AI-Led Growth Strategy
TCS said the dedicated business unit will leverage its experience of working with over 150 enterprises worldwide across different stages of the GCC lifecycle.
The company believes the new offering will help clients accelerate time-to-value, access future-ready talent, strengthen operational resilience, and build innovation-led centres aligned with business priorities.
