Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched the TCS Autonomous Engineering Lab Powered by NVIDIA at its Global Axis campus in Bengaluru, adding a new Physical AI facility focused on industrial and mobility applications, as per the exchange filings.
The company said the lab will help enterprises develop, test and deploy AI-led solutions using NVIDIA AI Infrastructure, supporting real-world implementation across manufacturing and mobility.
According to TCS, the facility is the first of its kind and is designed to help enterprises move from pilot projects to production-scale deployment.
The lab will enable customers to design, test and validate Industrial AI solutions while rapidly prototyping and simulating use cases before deployment. It also combines TCS' domain expertise with its engineering accelerators to shorten development cycles.
The facility includes TCS DriveSphere, a connected mobility platform supporting software-defined vehicles through digital twins, real-time data ingestion, predictive analytics and over-the-air lifecycle management.
It also offers AI solutions for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving, perception systems and intelligent decision-making.
Additional capabilities include Physical AI, Agentic AI, Vision AI and Digital Twin solutions for predictive maintenance, automated quality inspection, process optimisation, design validation, scenario testing and lifecycle optimisation.
TCS said the lab also provides a controlled environment for testing solutions before rollout, helping reduce deployment risks, improve time-to-market and provide access to NVIDIA's AI ecosystem and computing capabilities.
The company added that the initiative expands its long-standing collaboration with NVIDIA beyond technology integration to include capability building, client engagement and solution development through its Industrial Autonomy & Engineering (IA&E) capabilities.
Sreenivasa Chakravarti, Global Head & Vice President of Industrial Autonomy and Engineering at TCS, said the lab combines NVIDIA's AI platform with TCS' engineering capabilities to help transform ideas into practical industrial applications and support wider enterprise deployment.
Alvin DaCosta, Vice President, AI Consulting Partners Organization at NVIDIA, said the collaboration provides enterprises with specialised infrastructure to validate and implement next-generation industrial AI solutions at scale.
