Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has expanded its long-standing partnership with ABB by signing a multi-million, multi-year agreement to transform the company's global network operations, as per the exchange filings.
The collaboration marks the next phase of the companies' 20-year relationship and will see TCS deliver an AI driven, secure and standardised digital infrastructure to support ABB's global operations.
Under the agreement, TCS will move beyond infrastructure and application management to provide end-to-end global network operations through an integrated Network as a Service (NaaS) model.
The engagement is designed to improve user experience, increase operational efficiency, strengthen security, expand service delivery capabilities, and support ABB's next generation digital operations.
The partnership centres on ABB's Future Network Model, an enterprise-wide programme aimed at building a centrally managed and standardised digital network.
As the strategic programme partner, TCS will design, integrate and operate ABB's global network ecosystem while managing its multi-vendor environment.
The new architecture will bring together Service Integration and Management (SIAM), a Global Network Operations Centre, advanced security capabilities, and modernised LAN, WAN and Software Defined WAN systems.
TCS will also provide end-to-end monitoring, orchestration and high-performance connectivity across the network.
Over the past 20 years, TCS has supported ABB through programmes including the consolidation of multiple ERP systems into a unified SAP platform and accelerated cloud transformation and adoption, strengthening the technology foundation for the company's evolving business priorities.
Alec Joannou, Group CIO of ABB, said the Future Network Model represents "an important milestone" in strengthening the company's digital foundation. He added that the partnership reflects a shared focus on "delivery excellence, continuous enhancement, and building capabilities that can support our strategic priorities."
Anupam Singhal, President, Manufacturing at TCS, said "The Future Network Model marks the next chapter in this partnership." He added that AI-enabled network operations will create "a resilient, intelligent network backbone" with systems that "can sense, adapt, and improve continuously."
