Tata Power Share Price in Focus; Commissions 300 MW Project for SECI in Karnataka

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has commissioned its 300 MW Koppal solar project in Karnataka for the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), as per the exchange filing.
The project adds to the company’s utility-scale renewable energy portfolio and is expected to generate 810 million units of renewable power every year.
Solar Trackers and Bifacial Modules Used
The Koppal project uses solar trackers that allow panels to follow the sun’s movement during the day, helping optimise energy generation. It also deploys TP580HG10NB bifacial solar modules.
According to the company, the project is expected to help avoid around 103,820 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. The generated power will be supplied to SECI.
Women Make Up Nearly 40% of Site Workforce
TPREL said around 16 women professionals account for nearly 40% of the workforce at the Koppal site. They have worked in roles such as site managers and site engineers, contributing to technical execution, engineering, and team management.
The company said the project takes its total renewable utility capacity to 12 GW. Of this, around 7.2 GW is operational, including 5.8 GW of solar and 1.3 GW of wind capacity, while close to 4.9 GW is under implementation.
