On September 8, 2026, a meeting took place between the Cabinet Secretary from Kenya's Ministry of Mining and executive leaders from Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited.  

This engagement aimed to address the compliance concerns raised in the ministerial notice. Both parties described the discussion as productive.

To resolve the compliance issue, a high-level technical committee has been established. This committee will be jointly led by the Principal Secretary for Mining and the CEO of Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited.
