
Studds Accessories share price hit the upper circuit on June 9, 2026, marking its biggest single-day gain since listing, registering a significant trading volume on the BSE.
The rally came amid reports of a sharp increase in helmet demand in West Bengal following stricter enforcement of traffic safety rules after the recent Assembly elections.
According to a report by The Economic Times, Studds Accessories recorded a 70% increase in sales volumes in West Bengal during May, driven by stricter enforcement of helmet rules across the state.
The report added that sales of children's helmets more than doubled during the month, indicating increased adoption of safety gear among families. Demand, which was previously concentrated in Kolkata, has reportedly expanded to Tier-II cities and towns including Murshidabad, Malda, Medinipur, Krishnanagar, Asansol, Burdwan, Bankura, Siliguri and Jalpaiguri.
The report also stated that distributors of another helmet manufacturer, Vega Helmets, witnessed around 30% growth in sales volumes since May, while several helmet retailers in Kolkata reported 40-60% sales growth, compared with the earlier trend of 8-9%.
On June 9, 2026, Studds Accessories share price touched the upper circuit of ₹526.05 and finally closed the day at ₹518.45 per share, up 18.26% on the BSE. The sharp rally marked the largest single-day gain in the stock since its listing.
The stock also witnessed a spurt in trading volume of more than 102 times compared with its average traded volume during the session.
The current market capitalisation of the company stands at ₹2,040.28 crore.
Studds Accessories made its stock market debut below its IPO price despite receiving strong investor interest, with its ₹455 crore offer for sale subscribed 73.3 times during the public issue. On November 7, 2025, the company's shares listed at ₹565 on the NSE, a discount of 3.4% to the IPO issue price of ₹585.
The latest rally comes weeks after the company's market debut and marks its biggest single-day gain since listing.
