Sterlite Technologies Share Price in Focus; Expands Neuralis Portfolio with Pre-Terminated Fibre Trunk Assemblies

Sterlite Technologies Ltd (STL) has introduced a new range of pre-terminated fibre trunk assemblies for hyperscale and enterprise data centres, as per an exchange filing dated September 24, 2026.  

Data Centre Demand 

The company said the cables will be available in fibre counts ranging from 48F to 6,912F. The products form part of STL’s Neuralis data centre portfolio.  

The company noted that the range is for data centres dealing with higher bandwidth requirements arising from artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance computing workloads.  

Indoor and Outdoor Assemblies 

The range includes indoor fibre trunk assemblies from 48F to 576F. These are intended for connections within data halls and support MMC, MPO, and LC terminations. 

A separate indoor/outdoor range runs from 144F to 6,912F. These cables are intended for campus, inter-building, and inter-row connections. The largest version carries 6,912 fibres in a cable with an outer diameter of 32 mm.  

For the indoor range, cable diameters start at 5.8 mm for 48F and increase to 12.2 mm for 576F. STL said the smaller cable sizes allow higher fibre counts to be routed through available pathways, trays and conduits.  

Connector and Fibre Options 

The assemblies are offered with MMC, MTP/MPO and LC connectors, with Base-8, Base-12, Base-16 and Base-24 configurations. STL said these options cover different switch and patch-panel arrangements.  

The range includes ITU-T G.657.A2 single-mode fibre in 200 µm and 250 µm versions, along with OM4 multimode fibre for shorter links. STL’s IBR rollable ribbon technology is also used across the indoor and indoor/outdoor assemblies.  

Factory Testing 

STL said every assembly is 100% factory tested before installation. Ultra Low Loss connector options are available across both ranges.  

The company also noted that the factory termination is to reduce installation work and the scope for errors at the data centre site.
