On September 7, 2026, Sterlite Technologies Limited submitted a regulatory disclosure to BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. The filing included the transcript of the company's investor and analyst meet held on September 3, 2026. 

Leadership Highlights Industry Transition 

During the event, Managing Director Ankit Agarwal, Group CFO Ajay Jhanjhari, and Head of Investor Relations Rahul Darak highlighted a significant industry transition.  

The focus is shifting from connecting people to connecting intelligence, with AI infrastructure adoption increasing the demand for optical connectivity. High-performance fibre is being integrated deeper into data centres and closer to compute chips. 

Data Centre Capacity Expansion 

India's current data centre capacity is approximately 1.5 GW. With supportive government policies, this capacity is projected to grow to 10 GW by 2030, reflecting a 46% compound annual growth rate. Global hyperscalers are investing heavily in cloud, AI, and data centre facilities. 

Strategic Growth Roadmap 

Sterlite Technologies announced its growth ambition, Lakshya, targeting an annual revenue of ₹20,000 crore by FY 2029. This goal represents a more than fourfold increase from the ₹4,750 crore revenue reported in FY 2026.

Financial Profitability Targets 

The company aims to enhance its operational profitability, targeting an EBITDA margin of over 27% by FY 2029. This would be an improvement of more than 1,380 basis points from the 13.2% margin recorded in FY 2026. 

Capital Allocation Strategy 

To achieve these growth targets, Sterlite Technologies plans to invest ₹1,000 crore annually over the next 3 years. The investment will increase preform fibre and cable capacities by 50%. Additionally, 2% of average annual revenue will be allocated to innovation and technology, focusing on advanced fibre technologies.

As of September 08, 2026, at 12:25 PM, Sterlite Technologies share price on NSE was trading at ₹825.60, up by 5.00% from the previous closing price.
