On May 7, 2026, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) executed a seizure operation at the office premises of Reliance Communications Limited located in Navi Mumbai.  

This operation was part of an ongoing investigation under the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. 

Details of the CBI Operation 

The CBI officials conducted the seizure at the B-Block, Ground Floor, Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City.  

During the operation, they confiscated original minutes from the meetings of the Risk Management Committee and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.  

These documents span from April 1, 2012, to March 31, 2017. 

Legal Framework and Case Details 

The seizure was conducted under the provisions of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, with the case number RC0742025E0005-CBI/BSFB/Delhi dated May 7, 2026.  

The operation is part of a broader investigation into the company's past activities. 

Impact on Reliance Communications 

Despite the seizure, Reliance Communications has stated that its business operations continue as usual.  

The company is currently undergoing a corporate insolvency resolution process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, which provides certain protections.

Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process 

Reliance Communications has been under corporate insolvency resolution since June 28, 2019.  

The company's affairs, business, and assets are managed by the Resolution Professional, Mr. Anish Niranjan Nanavaty, as per the order of the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai Bench. 

Reliance Communications Share Price Performance 

As of May 08, 2026, at 3:30 PM, Reliance Communications share price on NSE was closed at ₹0.97 unchanged from the previous closing price.
