Reebok India has recorded substantial growth since coming under the Aditya Birla Group, with the brand more than doubling in size over the last 3 years, as per PTI news reports.

Alongside the increase in sales, its retail network has expanded to over 210 stores, and the company plans to continue adding new outlets across the country.

Expansion Strategy Targets 40-50 New Stores Annually

Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Ltd (ABLBL) intends to add 40-50 Reebok stores every year over the next few years as it scales up the brand's presence in India.

Highlighting the expansion plans, Vishak Kumar, Deputy Managing Director of ABLBL, said, “We have about 210-odd stores in the network for Reebok. The runway is much larger than that. Network expansion will continue, 40-50 stores per year for the next few years should be par for the course.”

The company also plans to tap opportunities in new retail destinations and smaller towns in addition to metro markets.

Sales Growth Supported by Product and Network Expansion

Reebok delivered around 30% growth during the March quarter, according to the management, driven by double-digit like-for-like sales growth and continued expansion of its retail footprint.

Discussing the brand's progress, Kumar said, “Since we have taken over the brand three years back, it has almost doubled in size.”

He also noted that new product introductions have contributed to the brand's momentum, including the recently launched Multi-Court Shoes range.

Brand Operates Under ABLBL Following Demerger

Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd entered into a long-term licensing agreement with Authentic Brands Group in 2021, securing exclusive rights to distribute and sell Reebok products in India and select ASEAN markets.

Following the demerger of the branded apparel business, Reebok now operates under Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Ltd.
