Rashi Peripherals Shares Up Over 3%; Announces JV with Restar Corporation to Develop Semiconductor Business

Rashi Peripherals Ltd has announced plans to form a joint venture with Japan-based Restar Corporation for its semiconductor business, as per an exchange filings.
As part of the arrangement, Rashi Peripherals will transfer the business into a wholly owned subsidiary headquartered in Bengaluru, with a step-down subsidiary in Singapore.
Restar Corporation will acquire a 26% equity stake in the subsidiary, while Rashi Peripherals will retain 74%. The joint venture is expected to commence operations in October 2026.
Operations to Cover Multiple Industrial Segments
The proposed venture is to supply image sensing solutions for industrial and automotive applications. Engineering, design, and technical support will also be offered as part of its operations.
Its customer base will include automotive Tier-1 suppliers, industrial robotics companies, electronics manufacturing services (EMS), electronics component manufacturing services (ECMS), enterprise surveillance, machine vision, audio-visual products and home appliances.
Engineering Base Planned in Bengaluru
Bengaluru will serve as the headquarters of the new company, with operations planned across five major cities in India.
According to the company, more than 50 engineering professionals will be recruited over the next two years. The plan also includes field application engineering support and technical training by visiting design experts from Japan.
Part of Rashi Peripherals' Existing Semiconductor Business
Rashi Peripherals entered the semiconductor distribution business in 2021 and has since expanded its technical capabilities. The company has established an Embedded Lab in Bengaluru to support product design and local solution development.
It said the joint venture is to strengthen these operations as semiconductor manufacturing activity continues to grow in India.

Restar Corporation, established in 2009 and headquartered in Tokyo, is engaged in semiconductor distribution, LSI design, engineering services and electronics manufacturing across Japan and international markets.
Rashi Peripherals Share Price Performance
As of August 7, 2026, 2:07 pm, Rashi Peripherals share price was trading at ₹891.80, up 3.03% from the previous closing price.
