
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APCPDCL), marking another significant addition to its government project portfolio. The order highlights RailTel’s growing role in supporting digital and network infrastructure for public sector utilities.
The contract has been awarded by Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited, a domestic entity responsible for power distribution across several districts in Andhra Pradesh. The project aligns with the utility’s efforts to strengthen its communication and network infrastructure for operational efficiency.
As per the LoA, the project involves the supply, installation, testing, and configuration of Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) devices. The scope also includes associated hardware and licenses to be deployed across APCPDCL offices. In addition, RailTel will provide a comprehensive five-year warranty and long-term support services, ensuring system stability and reliability.
The estimated size of the order, as mentioned in the LoA, stands at ₹27,04,21,875. The contract is domestic in nature and is scheduled to be executed by January 31, 2024. The defined execution timeline provides visibility on revenue recognition over the project period.
This order reinforces RailTel’s expertise in delivering end-to-end networking and digital solutions for government and public sector clients. SD-WAN deployments are increasingly critical for large utilities as they enable secure, scalable, and efficient connectivity across multiple locations. The five-year support component also adds a recurring service element to the contract.
On January 27, 2026, RailTel share price opened at ₹331.50, up from its previous close of ₹328.20. At 11:46 AM, the share price of RailTel was trading at ₹335.85, up by 2.33% on the NSE.
