RailTel Corporation of India has secured a project management consultancy (PMC) contract worth ₹16.99 crore (₹16,99,20,000) from the Lucknow Municipal Corporation. The filing suggests that the assignment will run for 5 years, with execution scheduled until February 15, 2031.  

The company announced that it received the work order on February 10, 2026 through a domestic tender process.  

Nature of the Contract 

The order involves providing project management consultancy services for civic projects under the Lucknow Municipal Corporation. The estimated size of the contract, based on the Letter of Intent, is ₹16,99,20,000.  

RailTel stated in its disclosure that the contract is not a related-party transaction and that the promoter group has no interest in the awarding entity.

In the third quarter of FY26, RailTel reported a standalone net profit of ₹62.40 crore, compared with ₹65.05 crore in the same period a year earlier, a decline of 4.07%.  

Revenue from operations rose 18.99% year-on-year to ₹913.45 crore during the quarter, indicating higher business activity.

RailTel was incorporated in 2000 to build a telecom and broadband network for Indian Railways. The company provides connectivity, VPN, and multimedia services across railway infrastructure. Its network supports communication systems used for train operations, control, and passenger services.
