Prime Focus Share Price in Focus as its Backed Firm Brahma AI Raises $150 Million at $2 Billion Valuation

Prime Focus-backed Brahma AI has raised $150 million in fresh funding, putting the enterprise AI company at a post-money valuation of $2 billion. Multiples Alternate Asset Management led the round, with a $100 million investment through preferred shares.
Prime Focus disclosed the funding on September 23. It also said there was another $100 million of investor interest and that it may increase the round to take in some or all of that demand.
Valuation Moves Up From $1.43 Billion
The latest round gives Brahma AI a higher valuation than the $1.43 billion figure disclosed by Prime Focus after an investment led by Abu Dhabi-based United Al Saqer Group in February 2025.
Prime Focus will continue to be Brahma AI's largest economic shareholder. Through DNEG, it is expected to hold around 66% economic ownership after taking into account the fundraising, employee stock options and founder equity.
Brahma AI Builds Enterprise AI Tools
Brahma AI works on technology for companies dealing with audiovisual content. Its platform brings together content management and intelligence with visual AI, digital humans, voice and multilingual capabilities.
Its customers include Warner Bros, the NBA and Mayo Clinic. The company also has strategic relationships with Google, Japan's Hakuhodo and DNEG.
Fresh Money To Fund Expansion
Brahma AI plans to put the new capital towards research and development and a bigger presence in the San Francisco Bay Area. It also plans to expand its global sales and go-to-market operations.
Founder and CEO Prabhu Narasimhan said the company is preparing to launch interactive digital humans and is building the platform to work across different AI models.
New Use Cases in Sports and Healthcare
Narasimhan also said Brahma AI is taking its technology into new areas, including sports, healthcare and advertising.
He said the funding gives the company room to invest more heavily in these areas.
Prime Focus Retains Brahma AI Link
Brahma AI will continue as an independent company under Narasimhan, with its own management, board and governance structure.
Prime Focus founder and CEO Namit Malhotra said the group now has two major growth businesses, with DNEG focused on visual effects and animation and Brahma AI positioned as its enterprise AI platform.
