Paytm parent One97 Communications is set to hold its board meeting on July 20, 2026, where directors will consider the company's Q1 FY27 financial results along with a proposal for its first-ever bonus share issue since listing.
If approved by the board and subsequently by shareholders, the proposed bonus issue would mark the first such corporate action by the fintech company.
The board agenda includes the approval of the company's financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, and a proposal to issue bonus shares.
According to the company's bonus history, One97 Communications has not announced any bonus shares since January 1, 2000, making this a significant corporate action if approved.
A bonus issue involves the allotment of additional shares to existing shareholders in a specified ratio without any additional payment. The final bonus ratio and record date are expected to be announced after the board's decision, subject to shareholder approval.
The latest shareholding pattern for the June 2026 quarter showed continued buying by domestic institutional investors (DIIs), while foreign institutional investors (FIIs) and public shareholders reduced their holdings.
DII holding increased to 24.87% in June 2026 from 23.08% in the March 2026 quarter.
FII holding declined to 48.09% from 49.40%.
Public shareholding eased to 27.04% from 27.51% during the same period.
Founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma is classified as a public shareholder and held around a 9.03% stake at the end of the June quarter.
As of July 20, 2026, at 11:41 AM, Paytm share price was trading at ₹1,341.00 on the NSE, down 0.52% from the previous close of ₹1,348.00.
During the session, the stock traded between an intraday high of ₹1,357.40 and a low of ₹1,335.50.
Paytm's board meeting on July 20 will be closely watched as it considers the company's Q1 FY27 results and a proposal for its first-ever bonus share issue. Investors will also look for details such as the bonus ratio and record date if the proposal receives board approval.
