Park Medi World Share Price Surges; Wins PPP Mandate for 550-Bed Hospital in Prayagraj

Park Medi World has received a mandate from the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation to develop and operate a 550-bed multi-super-speciality hospital in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, as per the exchange filing. The project will be developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The company will build the hospital over the next two years from the appointed date. After that, Park Group will operate the hospital under a 45-year lease.
₹200 Crore Investment
Park Group plans to invest around ₹200 crore to build the hospital. The project will be funded through the company's internal accruals.
The Uttar Pradesh government will also provide a concession of around ₹76.52 crore towards the construction cost.
Hospital to Come Up Near Arail Ghat
The hospital will be built on a 3.22-acre site allotted by the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation.
The location is near Arail Ghat and around 3 km by road from Sangam Ghat. The company said the location will make the hospital accessible to people living in the city as well as visitors coming to the area.
There is also an option to get another 2.47 acres from the fifth year after the hospital starts operations, which could allow the facility to be expanded later.
Government Support
The state government will reimburse around ₹76.52 crore towards the construction of the hospital.
Park Group will, in return, pay an annual concession fee of ₹18.10 crore, which will increase by 3% every year.
