Oracle Financial Services Software Limited has received penalty orders from the Income Tax Department’s National Faceless Penalty Centre for assessment years 2009-10 and 2011-12.  

The company disclosed the matter through an exchange filing dated September 26, 2026. 

Penalties for Two Assessment Years 

The two orders involve penalties of ₹61,025,681 for AY 2009-10 and ₹31,965,125 for AY 2011-12. The combined amount is ₹92,990,806, or about ₹9.30 crore. The orders were issued under Section 271(1)(c) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. 

Alleged Inaccurate Income Details 

According to the company’s exchange filing, the penalties relate to alleged furnishing of inaccurate particulars of income.  

The filing identifies the Income Tax Department’s National Faceless Penalty Centre as the authority that passed the orders. Oracle Financial Services Software received the orders on September 24, 2026. 

Company to Appeal 

The company has said that, based on its assessment, the penalty orders are not sustainable. It is taking steps to appeal against the orders before the appropriate authority. 

The company has also stated that it is hopeful of a favourable outcome at the appellate level. 

Impact on Business 

Oracle Financial Services Software said it expects no impact on its financials, operations or other activities because of the orders. The company’s assessment is linked to its decision to challenge the penalties through the appellate process.
