Ola Electric Share Price Surges Over 5%; Launches S1Z Range With Bharat Cell Technology

Ola Electric has expanded its scooter line-up with the launch of the S1Z range, bringing its indigenously developed Bharat Cell LFP technology to a mass-market scooter.
The S1Z comes in two battery versions. The 3.1 kWh battery model is priced at ₹79,999 and has claimed IDC range of up to 179 km, while the 5.1 kWh battery version costs ₹99,999 and is claimed to offer up to 301 km. Both prices are ex-showroom.
Deliveries to Begin in December
Ola Electric will start deliveries of the 3.1 kWh version in December 2026, followed by the 5.1 kWh model in March 2027.
The scooter gets MoveOS 5 software version, with features including cruise control, regenerative braking, reverse mode, GPS and OTA updates. It also includes ride statistics, energy insights through the Ola Electric app and the Easy Park feature.
Built Around Ola's LFP Cells
The S1Z uses Ola's 46-series LFP cell platform, developed at its Battery Innovation Centre and manufactured at the Ola Gigafactory. The company says bringing cell development and manufacturing in-house has helped lower battery costs.
Both variants use 12-inch wheels, with four colour choices: White, Anthracite, Sky Splash Blue and Matcha Green.
S1Z to Support Retail Expansion
The S1Z will be the first product range to be rolled out through Ola Electric's next retail phase, which includes dealer-operated stores alongside its existing company-owned network.
