ACME Solar Share Price in Focus; Secures ₹1,571 Crore Funding from IIFCL for 300 MW Rajasthan Project

ACME Solar has secured ₹1,571 crore in long-term funding from India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL) for its 300 MW assured peak power project in Rajasthan, as per the exchange filing. IIFCL will be the sole lender, with the financing carrying a 19-year repayment tenor.
The funding takes ACME Solar's total financing secured during the current financial year to ₹10,976 crore. The company said the project already has grid connectivity in place, while other parts of the site infrastructure are progressing.
Project Has 25-Year Power Purchase Agreement
The 300 MW project has a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with SECI Limited at a tariff of ₹6.28 per unit. Total project capital expenditure is estimated at ₹2,123 crore.
The project combines solar generation with battery storage to provide assured peak power under the agreement.
1,350 MWh Battery Storage Planned
A 1,350-MWh Battery Energy Storage System will be installed alongside the solar generation. ACME Solar said the storage capacity will support the project's ability to supply power during peak periods.
On the ground, grid connectivity is already operational. Work on the pooling substation and dedicated transmission line is at an advanced stage, while most of the required land has been secured.
IIFCL's First Sole Greenfield Financing for ACME
The financing is IIFCL's first sole greenfield funding for ACME Solar, according to the company. The latest facility is part of ACME Solar's wider battery-storage investment programme for the current financial year.
