Ola Electric shares experienced an 8.45% decline from their closing price of ₹44.48 on July 3, 2026, reaching ₹40.72 by midday Thursday, July 9, 2026.
This decline in Ola Electric shares was seen after media reports said two vendors had filed fresh insolvency pleas against its subsidiary over alleged unpaid dues worth over ₹40 crore.
In a clarification to the exchanges, Ola Electric Mobility said it had raised warranty and performance-related concerns over certain parts supplied by Anevolve Mando E-Mobility Private Limited and Sterling E-Mobility Solutions Private Limited, which remained unresolved.
The company said it has already initiated arbitration proceedings against these vendors and also filed petitions before the Commercial Court, Bengaluru, seeking interim relief pending the constitution of arbitral tribunals.
Ola Electric further clarified that after it initiated arbitration proceedings, the two vendors filed petitions under Section 9 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, in relation to the same underlying transactions.
The company stated that the vendors’ claims are subject to genuine pre-existing disputes, which are pending adjudication through arbitration, and that it is contesting the petitions while taking appropriate legal steps.
In addition to the legal dispute, Ola Electric faces broader market pressures. The stock is under the exchange-mandated long-term Additional Surveillance Measure (ASM) framework on both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), indicating heightened price volatility.
Despite a positive operational signal, with Q1 FY27 vehicle registrations nearly doubling to 43,719 vehicles, investors remain cautious due to structural adjustments, including a scale-back in physical store footprint targets.
