Ola Electric Share Price Falls Over 5% Despite Lower Q1 FY27 Losses

Ola Electric Mobility shares came under pressure on Monday, August 10, falling as much as 5.4% to an intraday low of ₹38.85 apiece on the NSE. The decline came despite the electric vehicle maker reporting a narrower net loss for the June quarter.
Investors remain concerned about weak sales volumes, lower margins, intensifying competition and continued cash burn. The company's plans to improve margins and reduce cash outflows will therefore remain key factors to watch.
Why Is Ola Electric Share Price Falling?
Ola Electric reported a consolidated net loss of ₹336 crore in Q1 FY27, narrowing from ₹428 crore a year earlier and ₹500 crore in Q4 FY26.
However, revenue from operations declined 45% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹455 crore from ₹828 crore. Total expenses also fell 42% YoY to ₹620 crore, helping reduce the company's losses.
Goldman Sachs flagged cash burn as a concern, noting that free cash flow remained negative at ₹350 crore. The brokerage also does not expect material cell revenue in Q2 FY27.
What Should Ola Electric Investors Watch?
The near-term outlook for Ola Electric share price is likely to depend on whether the company can improve volumes while controlling costs and cash burn. Margin expansion and the performance of its new distribution strategy will also be important.

Conclusion
Ola Electric's narrower Q1 loss provides some relief, but weak revenue and volumes, negative cash flow and rising competition continue to weigh on investor sentiment. The company's ability to improve profitability while scaling its EV business will be crucial for its stock performance.
