NTPC Share Price in Focus; Announces Commercial Operation Updates for September 2026

Solar Project in Gujarat Achieves Commercial Operation 

The third part capacity of 68.22 MW from the 200 MW Gujarat Solar PV Project, located in Dahod, Gujarat, achieved commercial operation status on July 23, 2026.  

This project is part of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL. 

Wind Project in Kutch Begins Operations 

The Vanki Wind Energy Project, situated in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat, commenced commercial operations on September 19, 2026.  

The project includes a third part capacity of 9.45 MW, marking a significant addition to NTPC's renewable portfolio. 

Capacity Milestones for NTPC Group 

Following these updates, NTPC group's total installed capacity reached 91,164 MW, while its commercial capacity rose to 90,084 MW.  

For the NGEL group, commercial capacity increased to 10,911.08 MW, and total installed capacity grew to 10,920.53 MW.

As of September 18, 2026, at 3:30 PM, NTPC share price on NSE was closed at ₹323.65, down by 1.81% from the previous closing price.
