
NTPC Green Energy Limited has declared 165 MW of capacity under the Khavda-II Solar PV Project in Gujarat as commercially operational from 00:00 hours on 20 February 2026. The update was issued through a regulatory filing today. This forms the second part capacity of the 1,200 MW project.
The Khavda-II Solar PV Project, located in Gujarat, has a planned total capacity of 1,200 MW. The 165 MW declared operational is part of the phased development of the project, according to the filing.
The company has not indicated when the remaining capacity will be commissioned.
The filing suggests that with this commissioning of 165 MW, the total commercial capacity of the group has increased to 8,992.68 MW from 8,827.68 MW earlier. The Khavda-II project is being executed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.

As of February 20, 2026, 12:10 pm, NTPC Green Energy share price was trading at ₹89.92, a 0.65% decrease from the previous closing price.

The commissioning adds to NTPC Green Energy Limited’s operational renewable capacity. Further additions from the Khavda-II project are expected as construction progresses.
