Nibe Share Price in Focus; Signs MoU With France’s Naval Group for Naval Technology Cooperation

Nibe Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with France’s Naval Group to work together on a range of naval technologies. The agreement was signed on September 18, 2026, and brings the two companies into a common framework for cooperation.
The focus is spread across underwater systems, naval weapons, autonomous platforms and other technologies used in modern naval programmes. Engineering and maintenance are also part of the arrangement.
Underwater Drones and Submarine Systems
One of the key areas covered by the MoU is underwater drones and their integration onboard submarines. The companies will also work on mine countermeasure systems and future modular launching systems for naval weapons.
The partnership also covers underwater submarine systems and technologies, along with naval weapon launching systems and their maintenance. The companies said the cooperation will support India's efforts to build greater self-reliance in naval programmes under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
Naval Group To Bring India Experience
Naval Group has been present in India for more than a decade and has developed industrial partnerships within the country's naval defence sector. The company said its experience, together with Nibe's capabilities, will support the development of technologies for the Indian Navy.
Marie-Laure Bourgeois, EVP, Sales & Marketing at Naval Group, said the agreement reflects a shared commitment to developing sovereign, resilient and future-ready naval capabilities in India.
Nibe Sees Role For Its Defence Capabilities
Ganesh Nibe, Chairman and Managing Director of Nibe Group, said the group's experience in integrated defence solutions and continued investment in the sector would support the cooperation.
He said the partnership would help provide latest-generation naval technologies for the country.

As of 18 September 2026, Nibe Ltd share price closed at ₹1,288 per share, reflecting a surge of 3.03% from the previous trading session.
