NBCC Share Price Surges Over 2% as Its Subsidiary HSCL Secures Work Orders Worth ₹158.95 Crore

NBCC (India) Ltd has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), has received four work orders with a total value of ₹158.95 crore, excluding GST.
As per an exchange filing dated July 10, 2026, the contracts have been awarded by government bodies in Odisha and relate to the construction of education infrastructure. The company said the orders were received in the normal course of business.
2 Projects Awarded by District Mineral Foundation
Out of the 4 contracts, 2 have been awarded by the District Mineral Foundation (DMF), Keonjhar. The larger project, valued at ₹70.59 crore, is for the construction of a Mega Education Complex in Keonjhar district.
Another order worth ₹17.24 crore is for DD University Works, which forms part of the same education complex. Both contracts are based in Odisha.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Campuses in Angul and Sambalpur
HSCL has also secured two contracts from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Each project is valued at ₹35.56 crore and involves the construction of a new Kendriya Vidyalaya campus.
One campus will be built in Angul district, while the other will come up in Sambalpur district. Together, these two projects account for ₹71.12 crore of the total order value.
Project Details
According to the exchange filing, all 4 contracts have been awarded by domestic entities and will be executed under the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) model on a deposit work basis. The company has not disclosed the timeline for completing any of the projects.
NBCC also stated that neither its promoters nor promoter group companies have any interest in the organisations awarding these contracts. It added that the work orders do not fall under related-party transactions.

As of July 10, 2026, 3:30 pm, NBCC (India) Ltd share price closed at ₹100.08, up 2.38% from the previous closing price.
Conclusion
The four contracts, valued at around ₹159 crore, cover the construction of educational facilities across Keonjhar, Angul and Sambalpur in Odisha. All the projects will be executed by HSCL as project management consultancy assignments.
