Mphasis Limited has entered into a collaboration with the Indian School of Business (ISB) to establish the Mphasis AI Hub, a research and innovation platform focused on advancing artificial intelligence applications with real-world impact.
Supported by funding from the Mphasis F1 Foundation, the initiative aims to strengthen AI-led research, capacity building and knowledge creation across critical sectors in India.
Under the partnership, the Mphasis F1 Foundation will invest approximately ₹20 crore over the next four years during Phase 1 of the initiative.
The funding will be used to support research programmes and the development of applied AI solutions designed to address practical challenges across industries.
The newly established AI Hub will function as a dedicated research centre at ISB, bringing together academia, industry participants and other stakeholders to collaborate on AI-driven innovation.
The collaboration will initially concentrate on the healthcare and finance sectors, with plans to expand into additional priority areas over time.
The hub will support interdisciplinary research, real-world testing of AI applications, impact assessments, and the development of tools that encourage responsible AI deployment.
In addition to research activities, the programme will work on strengthening digital literacy, institutional capabilities, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms through partnerships, repositories, and annual engagements.
As per an exchange filing, Deepa Nagraj, Senior Vice President & Global Head – ESG, Sparkle Innovation Ecosystem, and Communications, Mphasis, said, “We are pleased to partner with the Indian School of Business.
As AI continues to reshape industries and redefine how organisations operate, this research platform, combined with ISB’s academic expertise, will advance responsible, informed decision-making.”
Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean of ISB, stated, “We are thankful for this collaboration with Mphasis, as this reflects our belief that AI, when guided by rigorous research and ethical frameworks, can drive meaningful change across sectors and communities.”
