History of Mphasis Limited
Incorporated in 1992, Mphasis Limited is involved in the business of computer programming and related activities, such as information and communication services, IT consultancy and more. The company released its IPO and got listed on the exchanges in February 1994. In four years, i.e., 1998, the company began as a high-end technology architecting firm. In 2004, the company acquired Kshema Technologies and Onida Info Tech. In 2006, the company acquired Princeton Consulting. In the same year, 62% of the stake in Mphasis was acquired by Eldorado Computing EDS, however, in 2008, HP acquired EDS and Mphasis. By 2010, Mphasis touched $1 billion in revenue. In the same year, the company expanded its presence globally in Australia, Sri Lanka and Poland. In 2016, Blackstone acquired a stake of approximately 61% in Mphasis from HPE. In 2023, the company launched a new business unit called Mphasis.ai. As of March 2023, the company has 21 regional and 39 international offices. Mphasis Limited’s business activities are conducted in regions such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Mangalore, Pune and Noida in India. The primary services offered by the company are as follows:- Application Services: Under this service, the company offers assistance to customers in terms of the design and development of customised software applications, etc. They offer various solutions, such as modernisation, digital, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), testing, data engineering, Enterprise Architecture and Integration (EA&I), mainframe services, business process management, etc.
- Business Process Services: Under this section, the company provides customer service, transaction processing, and compliance knowledge processing, such as certain projects that involve complete transformation and integration of processes using automation tools.
- Infrastructure Services: Under this, they provide end-to-end managed mobility solutions, such as workplace management and other services like data centre services, hosting services, help desk and payment managed solutions.
- Msource (India) Private Limited: This wholly-owned subsidiary of the company provides Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services.
- Blink Interactive, Inc.: This wholly-owned subsidiary offers user experience research, design and strategy services.
- Mrald Services Private Limited: This wholly-owned subsidiary of the company provides consultancy, computer programming and related activities.
