Maruti Suzuki Sells Over 2 Lakh Vehicles in June, Domestic Sales Surge 24%

Maruti Suzuki India reported a 19.3% year-on-year increase in total sales for June 2026, selling 2,00,390 units compared with 1,67,993 units in the same month last year.
The growth was mainly driven by higher domestic passenger vehicle sales across several product categories.
Domestic Passenger Vehicle Sales Jump Nearly 24%
The company's domestic passenger vehicle sales rose 23.8% to 1,47,187 units in June 2026 from 1,18,906 units in June 2025.
The strong performance reflects continued demand for the company's hatchbacks, sedans and utility vehicles.
Sales Across Vehicle Segments
Mini Cars
Sales of Alto and S-Presso nearly doubled to 11,416 units, compared with 6,414 units in the corresponding month last year.
Compact Cars
The compact car portfolio, including Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR, recorded sales of 63,815 units, up from 55,205 units a year earlier.
Utility Vehicles
Sales of utility vehicles, including Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6, increased to 61,726 units, compared with 47,947 units in June 2025.

Vans and Commercial Vehicles
The company sold 10,230 units of the Eeco van during the month, up from 9,340 units a year ago.
Sales of the Super Carry light commercial vehicle also increased to 2,963 units, compared with 2,433 units in June 2025.

Maruti Suzuki delivered a strong sales performance in June 2026, supported by robust demand across most vehicle categories. The sharp rise in domestic passenger vehicle sales, particularly in mini cars and utility vehicles, helped the country's largest carmaker achieve total sales of more than 2 lakh units during the month.
