Maruti Suzuki Domestic Sales Hit Record 2 Lakh Units in July; Total Sales Stand at 2.41 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki recorded total sales of 241,421 units in July as domestic volumes climbed to an all-time high of 200,123 units.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd sold 241,421 vehicles in July 2026 across domestic and export markets, as per an exchange filing dated August 1, 2026.  

Domestic dispatches, including passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles, reached 200,123 units, marking the company's highest monthly domestic sales. Supplies to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) were 11,242 units, while exports stood at 30,056 units.  

SUVs and Passenger Cars Account for Most Sales 

Utility vehicles contributed 78,851 units during the month, compared with 52,773 units in July 2025. This segment includes the Brezza, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, XL6, Invicto, Jimny, e Vitara and Victoris.  

Passenger cars recorded 103,456 units, led by the Baleno, Swift, WagonR, Dzire, Celerio, Ignis and Ciaz range, which together accounted for 90,822 units. The Alto and S-Presso added another 12,634 units.  

Commercial Vehicles Also See Growth 

The company's domestic passenger vehicle sales reached 196,203 units, up from 137,776 units in the same month last year. The Eeco van recorded sales of 13,896 units, while the Super Carry light commercial vehicle contributed 3,920 units.  

Together, these lifted total domestic sales, including LCVs, to 200,123 units for July.  

April-July Sales Remain Higher Year-on-Year 

For the first four months of FY2026-27, Maruti Suzuki sold 721,431 passenger vehicles in the domestic market. Including light commercial vehicles, domestic sales reached 734,930 units, while domestic sales after OEM supplies stood at 769,353 units.  

Exports during the period increased to 154,792 units, compared with 128,717 units in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Total sales for April-July rose to 924,145 units, against 708,387 units a year earlier.

Maruti Suzuki India Share Price Performance 

As of July 31, 2026, 3:30 pm, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd share price closed at ₹14,240.00, up 0.37% from the previous closing price. 

Conclusion 

The company's July sales were driven by growth in domestic dispatches, while cumulative sales for the first four months of FY2026-27 exceeded the year-ago period despite a marginal decline in monthly exports.
