Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. (MHRIL) reported a consolidated net loss of ₹8.56 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, against a net profit of ₹7.17 crore in the corresponding period last year, as per an exchange filing dated July 22, 2026.

The company said higher growth-related costs in the domestic business and weak international operations affected earnings. Consolidated revenue from operations rose to ₹732.81 crore from ₹701.40 crore a year earlier.

Revenue Grows Across Core Business

Despite the decline in profit, MHRIL reported higher sales and steady operating performance. Sales value, including membership upgrades, increased 22% year-on-year to ₹154 crore, while membership upgrades grew 58% to ₹89 crore.

Average Unit Realisation (AUR), including upgrades, stood at ₹14.4 lakh, up 73% from the year-ago quarter. Resort revenue rose 10% to ₹126 crore, with occupancy at 86.7%.

Expenses Outpace Income

Total income for the quarter stood at ₹773.5 crore, compared with ₹740.2 crore in Q1 FY26. However, total expenses increased to ₹776.48 crore from ₹713.33 crore, resulting in lower profitability.

Consolidated EBITDA declined to ₹153.6 crore from ₹161.2 crore, while the company reported a pre-tax loss of ₹3.2 crore, compared with a profit before tax of ₹26.3 crore in the same quarter last year.

Resort Portfolio and Expansion

During the quarter, the company continued work on upgrading seven existing resorts and exited 15 partner resorts after reviewing guest feedback and ratings. MHRIL ended the quarter with 5,865 keys across 111 resorts and a cumulative member base of 3,03,153.

Deferred revenue stood at ₹5,825 crore, while cash and cash equivalents were ₹1,420 crore as of June 30, 2026.

Company’s Outlook on Capacity Addition

The company said some inventory projects were delayed because of supply chain disruptions, shortages of construction materials and labour availability. It nevertheless expects to add around 1,000 keys during FY27 and said it continues to target an inventory of 10,000 keys by FY30.

The company also noted that international operations remained affected by geopolitical uncertainty and slower economic conditions in Finland during the quarter.
