Larsen & Toubro has streamlined its semiconductor vertical by completing the amalgamation of SiliConch Systems Private Limited with its wholly owned subsidiary, L&T Semiconductor Technologies Limited.

Merger Finalised Under Approved Scheme

The consolidation has been executed under a Scheme of Amalgamation sanctioned by the Regional Director of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The approval was granted earlier in March 2026, paving the way for integration within the group’s semiconductor operations.

The appointed date for the merger has been set as August 10, 2025.

Effective Completion and Structural Impact

The amalgamation became effective on March 24, 2026, following the filing of the necessary order with the Registrar of Companies. With this, SiliConch Systems has been fully absorbed into L&T Semiconductor Technologies.

As a result, the entity has ceased to exist as a separate step-down subsidiary within the L&T group structure.

Focus on Simplifying Semiconductor Operations

SiliConch Systems was previously a wholly owned subsidiary of L&T Semiconductor Technologies and formed part of the broader semiconductor ecosystem within the group.

The merger is aimed at consolidating operations and improving organisational efficiency within this segment.

The move aligns with L&T’s broader strategy of strengthening its presence in high-growth technology and semiconductor businesses.
