
Larsen & Toubro Limited has announced that its Transportation Infrastructure business vertical has secured a road development contract in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as disclosed to stock exchanges on February 10, 2026.
The contract relates to Phase 1 of the Latifa Bint Hamdan Street road development initiative undertaken by authorities in the United Arab Emirates. The project covers improvement of the road corridor between Emirates Road E611 and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road E311.
The scope includes widening the existing 2 lane dual carriageway into a 4 lane dual carriageway in each direction to improve traffic capacity. A major structural interchange will be constructed at E311 to support traffic movement across all directions.
Beyond the main interchange, the corridor will be extended with a new 4 lane dual carriageway along Latifa Bint Hamdan Street. The project also includes construction of a dedicated interchange to enable U turn movements and improve access to developments on both sides of the corridor.
As per L&T’s internal classification system disclosed in the press release, this contract falls under the Significant category, representing a contract value between ₹1,000 to ₹2,500 Crore.
The road development project is scheduled for completion within 36 months from the commencement date, as per the company disclosure.
