KPI Green Energy's New Venture into Green Hydrogen
The project involves the establishment of a 1 TPD green hydrogen generation plant using plasma gasification technology at NETRA, NTPC Greater Noida.
Plasma gasification is an advanced process that converts municipal solid waste, refuse-derived fuel, and agricultural waste into synthesis gas, which is then processed to produce green hydrogen. This initiative aims to reduce landfill dependency and environmental impact.
The scope of work for KPI Green Energy includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply of plant and equipment, along with transportation, erection, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning. The project also covers safety-related aspects, civil works, and structural steel works, with operation and maintenance for 2 years.
Contract Details and Financials
The aggregate value of the contract awarded to KPI Green Energy is ₹128.49 crore, excluding GST. The awards are in line with the tender terms and are subject to the execution of formal contract agreements and customary contractual obligations.
