Kirloskar Oil Engines Q1 FY27 Results: Reports 16% Revenue Growth, Net Profit at ₹99 Crore

On a standalone basis, KOEL reported:
- Revenue from operations increased 16% year-on-year to ₹1,471 crore, compared with ₹1,272 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Net sales also grew 16% YoY to ₹1,461 crore.
- EBITDA stood at ₹165 crore, compared with ₹172 crore in the same quarter last year.
- EBITDA margin declined to 11.2% from 13.5% a year ago.
- Net profit came in at ₹99 crore, down from ₹110 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Net profit margin eased to 6.7% from 8.6%.
- The company maintained cash and cash equivalents of around ₹485 crore (net of debt).
On a consolidated basis:
- Revenue from operations rose 13% YoY to ₹2,000 crore from ₹1,762 crore.
- Net profit stood at ₹111 crore, compared with ₹134 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Net profit margin declined to 5.6% from 7.6%.
Domestic Business Continues to Drive Growth
The company said domestic demand remained strong across its key businesses.
The Power Generation, Industrial, and Distribution & Aftermarket segments delivered broad-based growth during the quarter, helping offset weakness in overseas markets. KOEL also strengthened its position in India's power generation market while continuing to invest in next-generation technologies.
The company expanded its OptiPrime modular power systems for mission-critical applications and further developed its gas-based distributed power solutions, targeting opportunities in data centres, utilities and industrial applications.
New Products and Business Expansion
During the quarter, KOEL continued to diversify its industrial business into new applications.
Its Distribution & Aftermarket business recorded another strong quarter, supported by higher service revenues and the successful execution of its first turnkey high-horsepower repowering project.
KOEL Fluid Dynamics launched 13 new products, while Arka Financial Services expanded its presence across India and increased its assets under management.

Vice Chairperson and Managing Director Gauri Kirloskar said the company delivered broad-based domestic growth despite geopolitical uncertainties and continued weakness in export markets.
She added that KOEL remains focused on technology, innovation, cost optimisation and operational excellence. The company expects these initiatives to improve profitability over time while supporting long-term growth.
Challenges Remain in Export Markets
The company noted that exports continued to be impacted by geopolitical developments and delayed customer investments in international markets.
To manage these challenges, KOEL implemented calibrated pricing measures and continued efforts to improve operational efficiency and control costs.
