Juniper Green Energy Share Price in Focus; Signs PPA with SJVN for 50 MW FDRE Project

Juniper Green Energy Limited, through its subsidiary Juniper Nirjara Energy, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with SJVN for a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy project. The agreement was signed on August 26, 2026, under the SJVN FDRE-2 scheme.
The project will use a combination of renewable energy technologies, including solar and battery storage, to meet the power supply terms agreed under the PPA.
PPA Comes With ₹4.25 Tariff
The PPA carries a tariff of ₹4.25 per unit for the full 25-year tenure. The company does not disclose the project's location, investment amount, or expected commissioning date.
The 50 MW project is being developed as an FDRE facility, which means the supply arrangement includes specific requirements around when and how much power must be delivered.
Four Peak Hours of Supply Required
Under the agreement, the project has to provide power during four peak hours and maintain 90% monthly availability.
It must also meet the minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) specified in the bid. Solar generation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity will be used to meet these supply obligations.
Portfolio Reaches 11,216 MWp
Following this addition, Juniper Green Energy's renewable energy portfolio stands at 11,216 MWp. Its portfolio is also supported by 8,989 MWh of BESS capacity.
The company has not disclosed how much of its overall storage capacity will be allocated to the new 50 MW project.
