
JSW Infrastructure Ltd has received a tax order alleging short payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST) for a period from April 2019 to March 2024, as per exchange filing. The order has been issued to Ennore Coal Terminal Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the company, by GST authorities in Tamil Nadu.
The order was passed by the Additional Commissioner of Central Tax under the Office of the Commissioner of GST and Central Excise, Chennai-Outer.
It has been issued under Section 74 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, read with relevant provisions of the Tamil Nadu GST Act and the Integrated GST Act. The authority has alleged contraventions of GST provisions during the specified period.
As per the order, the total demand amounts to ₹96.58 crore. This includes the tax claimed along with applicable interest and penalties. The demand follows a show-cause notice that had earlier been served on the subsidiary in September 2025.
The company disclosed that the order dated December 22, 2025, was received by Ennore Coal Terminal on December 30, 2025, via speed post. JSW Infrastructure informed the stock exchanges of the development on the same day, in line with disclosure requirements under SEBI’s listing regulations.
JSW Infrastructure has stated that it will file an appeal against the order within the stipulated timeframe. For filing the appeal, the company will be required to deposit 10% of the tax demanded as a pre-deposit. The remaining amount will be subject to the outcome of the appellate proceedings.
According to the company, there is no material impact on its financial position, operations, or other activities, apart from the pre-deposit linked to the appeal process. The matter remains under dispute and will be reviewed by appellate authorities.
As of December 31, 2025, 09:43 am, JSW Infrastructure share price was trading at ₹285, a 0.61% decrease from the previous closing price.

The GST order places a disputed demand of ₹96.58 crore on JSW Infrastructure through its subsidiary. The final outcome will depend on the appellate process and subsequent rulings by tax authorities.
