ITC Sets ₹20,000 Crore Consumer Spending Target for Aashirvaad Over 5 Years

As per an Economic Times news report, ITC expects consumer spending on Aashirvaad to double to ₹20,000 crore over the next five years, from more than ₹10,000 crore at present.
Hemant Malik, CEO, Foods Division and Executive Director, ITC, said the company expects to reach the target within five years.
Aashirvaad's Expansion
Aashirvaad was launched in May 2002 as a whole wheat atta brand. It now has more than 200 SKUs across staples, spices, fresh foods, and frozen products.
ITC is working on both its atta business and other food categories. Ready-to-cook foods and frozen snacks are among the segments being added to the brand.
Expansion in Atta Products
The company sees further opportunities in atta through different product segments and premium products. Aashirvaad's range includes multigrain, high-protein, organic and millet-based variants.
Malik said consumers are looking for products linked to specific nutritional, wellness, and regional requirements. He also said premium products need to offer benefits such as quality, convenience, or nutritional value.
Ready-to-Cook Products
Aashirvaad has entered fresh foods through its ready-to-cook range. This includes ready-to-cook chapatis, which are aimed at younger households with limited time for cooking.
Each pack contains 10 chapatis, has no added preservatives and has a shelf life of five to six days.
Other Food Categories
The brand's products also include besan, vermicelli, rava, soya chunks, frozen naans, and parathas. Fresh chutneys and sambar are also part of the range.
ITC has added sattu, made from dry-roasted gram, to its packaged food portfolio. Aashirvaad Chana Sattu is currently sold in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Aashirvaad's Sattu Range
Chana Sattu with Jeera is available in Bihar, while Plain Chana Sattu is sold in West Bengal and Jharkhand. A ₹10 value pack contains 10 gm of protein.
ITC has also introduced Sattu Masala under Sunrise, the spice brand it acquired in 2020. The company expects sattu to have scope beyond its current markets and plans to expand it nationally.
Manufacturing and Reach
Aashirvaad products are manufactured across 66 facilities in India. In FY26, ITC's FMCG products reached around 28 crore households, with consumer spending of nearly ₹37,000 crore.
Consumer spending includes net sales turnover, channel margins, and applicable taxes.
